About Hospital
The Mayo Day Clinic which is housed in Mayo No. 2, was the vision of its creator, Dr Wypke Wypkema. It opened in 1974 as part of the Mayo Clinic “one-stop medical and diagnostic centre” and began with one operating theatre and 20 beds.
